The district signed a performance contract with His Excellence the President of the Republic on 12/12/2008 that had different aspects of administration including good governance especially in maintaining security of people and property, to increase capacity in information and communication, to help the youth and improve culture, to fight corruption, to improve agriculture, education, health, economy, energy and many more.

In each part there is shown what will be achieved, depending on where the district is now, showing the important things that will help us achieve our objectives which will in turn help our Eastern Province achieve its goals.

There was also an improvement in agriculture whereby more hectares of land were used to cultivate different kinds of crops in such a way that there was a tremendous increase in the output in the second output and there will be construction of a cassava processing factory.
